A collection of quilts, patchworks and pillowcases, handmade from 100% cotton sourced from Rajasthan, India. The fabric patterns look gorgeous when they're combined in a patchwork, but can look equally as lovely on their own.
Textile production has long been a hallmark of Indian culture, particularly in Rajasthan where block printing was pioneered and remains strong. Block printing begins with carving designs into wooden blocks by hand before being dipped in dye and printed onto fabric. Throughout the printing process artisans pay meticulous attention to detail in order to ensure all motifs and colours are harmonised on the fabric.
The resulting fabric is beautiful. The vibrant colours - often blue, yellow, red and saffron; the diversity of designs - from animals and flowers to contemporary graphic geometrical designs. And the printing method ensures every piece is unique.
