Jessica at Freda Silk | Photography by Paul Cameron
Created for Jess especially for a photo shoot in Scotland with Dance Imagery of Scotland. I've always loved tartan and so happy to have found this fabric in the eco lycra. Pictured here black skirt with tartan waistband, but can be reversed, or completely tartan.
The eco fabric is a little more structured than the regular lycra, so the shape has been adapted for a more relaxed feel. There's less varation between front and back, and a little less drape - a shape which really suits the eco fabrics.
It's hard to find dancewear fabric that supports eco-friendly production, so Jessica and I are delighted to include this sustainable techo-fabric made with ECONYL® - an 100% regenerated nylon fibre.
ECONYL® fiber is made of pre and post-consumer waste (nylon scraps / fishnets and carpet fluff). Needless to say, the fabric is more expensive, hence the higher sale price. But if you want to do your bit for the environment, this is the skirt for you.
Here are the approximate lengths according to waist sizes but do let me know if you'd like this adapted.
