A narrow (16mm approx) satin elastic waistband in a matching colour, or a colour of your choice. Works well for the smaller waist sizes.
 
For more support, a soft elastic waistband in 25mm or 38mm black or white.

Length 60cm approx maximum due to width of fabric.
