A delicate crepe fabric - translucent but  less so than classic or iridescent chiffon, with a slightly matte feel.

a slim 25mm double sided satin elastic in matching colour - or a contrast of your choice. Works well for smaller sizes. Pictured here with a silver elastic.
 
For more support, a wider soft elastic black or white elastic, either 25mm or 38mm 
 
Length 60cm approx maximum due to width of fabric.
