15mm double sided satin elastic in matching or a colour of your choice (pictured in cream) works well for small sizes.
 
For more support, a soft elastic waistband in
38mm black or white 
25mm black or white
25mm gold is a nice touch
 
Length 60cm maximum due to width of fabric.
